Post Your Garden!

Great answer, I was going to say similar.
The only thjing to add to emphasise the end of the renovation season - if you have deciduous trees in your garden, or overhanging your garden, you are probably already too late. The fallen leaves will block out sunlight to new grass shoots and will not be established enough to be able to rake up the leaves.
Just leave it at scarifying for now. It will be good to allow the airflow in the damper months. Maybe just add an autumn fertilizer and moss killer.
Do the 5 step process above in spring.
I did consider this - we do indeed have overhanging trees. Will the seed I've bought last till then? Not sure on shelf life but I'd hate to waste it!

Beautiful day yesterday and another one coming up today. Love it.

Probably the last BBQ for a while too.

Any opinions on mini-greenhouses for growing things chillies or other small amounts of stuff?

This kind of thing I'm talking about:

I don't have space for a full size greenhouse what with the patio, shed, wildflower garden and some lawn but something like the above would fit well against the back wall of the house and it would be directly.South facing and get tons of light and direct sun.

Anyone got one?
What have you grown in it?
Are they worth it if you get a decent one?

I don’t have a proper greenhouse (much as I’d love one), but I do have a Lidl special exactly like that one. It’s been really useful for getting plants out in the garden early in the season. Chillies, tomatoes and aubergines good early on, but soon outgrow the small size.

We've recently (well, a year ago lol) moved into what will probably be our last stop.
Lovely place which ticks all the boxes, if perhaps a little to much on the garden.

For us it's absolutely huge, going as far left as you can see, but also another 30 meters down past the wall, into what has become very overgrown with bushes and trees.
to be honest, I'm a little overwhelmed with it, I've maintained the bits you can see, but beyond that I've not idea how to deal with it and where to start.
Some of the garden, about 2.5 meters past the patio, is going to get eaten up by the extension we've got planned, (a whole other new stress that I'm going through for the first time).

I had the idea of perhaps cutting a path down through it all to where the biggest tree is, and turning into some sort of fairy forest walk for my daughter, putting some solar lights into the trees etc.

Or just selling it, there's space there for a few houses I imagine.

all this will have to wait until summer 24 when I get some leave though, at the moment we are just enjoying it.

There's a lot of work in that garden @uksoldierboy. Nice to have all that space but can become overwhelming if you don't have the time to keep on top of it. Honestly, I would look into a robot mower to at least keep on top of all the grassed areas even if it just allows yo more time to maintain the rest. There's at least an hour of cutting there with a standard mower

I would not sell any of that land for housing.......i would put fruit trees in there and add to the view and not spoil it with houses.
