Post your most INTENSE game moment

My first time in The Cradle. I had to pause it, and talk a walk around before continuing. Not the adrenaline rush of, say, The Bridge in Left 4 Dead 2 co-op, but the atmosphere was incredible. And I almost s*** myself.

Lady Vashj - WoW TBC

Getting to the third and final phase of the boss encounter, then everyone running around like idiots as the poison begins to spawn on the floor. Our first kill was amazing, never had a gaming rush like that. Kael'thas was a little different as you were guaranteed a kill if you made the final phase.

PGR4 online all neck and neck in A-class cars, upto the line after a 4 lap race where one mistake would have seen a big crash or last place, one player was my bro and we were both gritting teeth yet laughing through headset at same time doing that thing where you press harder on the trigger even though your already at the bump stops :D

i was in the quick radical SR9 where you just keep your foot in and use the grip but watch out for over steer and twitchy braking

great moment !

as good.. no better than any film moment and close to watching your team score a goal :)

1st ever MOHAA clan match. Hunt map, down to 2 men standing, crouching in the bottom of the butchers, waiting for the enemy to make their move. I thought my heart was going to pump itself out of my chest.

Oooh, just remembered - Being the last man in team alive to plant the bomb in CS:S, then it goes BOOOM as the counter-terrorist is a split second from defusing.

MP games provide the most tense moments. back in the pre-steam CS days, I remember being in a clan match on militia as CT, my entire team got awped coming out into the front area (was a bad tactic tbh, but we were young). I had an MP5, because they were the best game for close range back then, no slow down on jumps and the accuracy was stupid, so you just jumped aorund people.

So it was me against 5, I had an MP5, just crawling around the house, heart thumping... managed to pick 4 of them off before being killed, awesome moment :)

SP... can't think of any

Well, me and my male friend had just been jogging and were all hot and sweaty... Anyhow, during the showering we....

Oh, most intense game moment. My bad.

Probably being at the finals of a LAN competition in CS. My team died and it was me alone vs. three people to level the game. It was on de_prodigy and I chose to dump my M4A1 for an AWP to the protests and anxiety of my team. I then proceeded to kill all three of the opposing team with it without missing a shot.

It wasn't a fast past piece of intensity, but the pressure was huge and I was fired up on adrenalin.

I've had supremely intensive experiences in TF/TFC/QLCTF as well, you can't beat the frantic intensity of those games. Absolute devestating punishment awaits the slightest mistake and you must be on top of your game to achieve anything.

Also had some rather intense moments in Serious Sam multiplayer with the enemies cranked up to the max.

The two 'hardcore' MMO's I've played have been frought with intense situations too (absolutely not the casual gamers paradise that is WoW).

It's those slow bits that become the most tense, you have the pressure all riding on you, team shouting in your ears/headset and you're trying to listen out for every footstep :D Love 'em ;)

also: paced*

Molten Core, Vanilla WoW.

Naxx 40 man, Vanilla WoW.

Having 40 people, all working together, getting server firsts, or near enough. Was immense, the time and effort we all put in to that.

Parts of Half Life.

Some clan games of CoD, when it was down to the last few people.

Halo's ending on Legendary

Hmmm, I remember a few.

Freespace 2 - Into the Lions Den.
"Dive dive dive".
Videos dont do that moment justice.

Also many intense moments in that game, too many to list.

Operation: Flashpoint, many MP experiences were tough.

Planetside, me being a relative newbie got dropped into a massive 3 way trying to take our base. Pretty much damn near everything was coming for us.
Eventually pushed back and reclaimed another base.
Fun fun.

Couldn't really pick out one, but some of them are;

Metal Gear Solid 4: Motorbike and microwave room bits
Half Life 2 Ep 2: Strider bit
Call of Duty 2: The landing at Normandy
Silent Hill: The first time I saw it go from normal snow/ash type area into evil hell on earth style area and stuff started coming for me.
Warcraft: Killing C'Thun for the first time after 239875742345 attempts
Heavy Rain: The scene where you're sitting at a desk in an abandoned apartment and are instructed to do something.
Final Fantasy X: Tidus listening to Yuna's recap of their journey and saying her goodbyes.
Final Fantasy VII: The obvious death scene.
Diablo 2: Trying to solo the cow level

Been overly simplistic in some bits to avoid spoilers, but you should know which bits I mean if you played the games.

I couldn't say...

But 1 that springs to mind is when i was fighting the secret Final Fantasy X boss, Penance... he has a skill that wipes you out with max damage and removes Auto-Life so the only way to survive is to use a Summon then pray to god you live long enough to get a turn thanks to the summon delay. I think after an hour of fighting him i messed up and wound up in a life or death struggle involving about 4 Judgement Days and me barely surviving... suffice to say i won after another 40 minutes of nail-biting terror...

Same game but where you have to kill liquid ocelot knowing full well he's not the bad guy and only wanted to save people :(

One of the only times I've ever felt something for a game character.

Bit of a spoiler there :/ I still haven't played MGS4.
