If you're after a rodent for a pet I'd recommend rats, much more intelligent and playful compare to mice, hamsters, and gerbils.

The missus used to a have a few of them and whilst they aren’t my sort of pet they are actually quite cute/fun.

After just walking to the garage, I can see on the garden (paw prints in the snow) where about 3 or 4 cats are passing through my garden, i dont mind it but they like to crap in the soil and on the grass, now I have my niece coming round, I dont want these cats even coming in my garden.

Whats the best steps to scare cats from passing through without waitng at night and picking them off with a BB gun.

That's a gorgeous cat Phykell! What is it? It looks like a Siamese but I thought Siamese were all short-hairs? Some kind of mixed breed?

He's a seal colour point long-haired Persian, very large, very fluffy and has an excellent pedigree from champions and grand champions throughout. Unfortunately, this didn't prevent him from nearly ending up in a home because his previous owners were finding it too difficult to look after him having two young children as well. The cat was very stressed out by the kids and was half the weight he is now with fur dropping out and loads of areas of matted fur. He's happy now though :)

Is that a Bengal, as in Leopard hybrid? That is cool! My friend has one and they are amazing. Absoloutely gorgeous.

She's lovely :) Sounds exactly like our Rolo. Really nervous when she first arrived. Petrified of being around peoples' feet, and just scared of every noise made. She tore the house apart in the first week because we couldn't let her out, and I didn't think she'd ever settle. We couldn't keep her in another week, so we let her out. She bolted down the garden and we didn't see her for 8 hours. Then she came home :) and has been slowly improving ever since. She's the most affectionate little cat I've ever met, but she's still jumpy when she hears loud noises. Makes you wonder what's happened to them in their lives before you had them.

yes she is , great cats , loads of character though a little over boisterous at times :)

i had a lloyd had the same name in all odd world... well he was 45 and he was having a wonder around the grarden when mum was mowing the garden and she put all the grass in the bags.. went and had dinner then took them up the tip.. come on to find out he had gone in the grass bag to keep warm :( when back to the tip and that lot had all ready been crushed! :(

Our one came to a less gruesome end, he honestly ran away well walked very slowly but either way he ran away and we havent seen him since
