Post your uni room thread!

Ha ha. Look at all your ***** infested hell holes.

I miss living with housemates. There was always something to do. But I'm glad I've now got a proper home now. :p

Its amazing how little changes. Well apart from PC's. Take a look at the pile of junk. That thing cost 2 grand!!!

Here was my first year room in 1997.

In the second year I moved out with 2 guys and 2 girls. We found a big awfully decorated house and I spent the summer sanding and repainting all the walls. I made my own computer desk. The place looked awsome at the end of it all. Nice and roomy.

I ended cracking my head open on the corner of wall next to my bed. I was practicing overhead kicks, and it was about an hour before we were going out. I ended up holding the slash together and using a hairdryer to congeal the blood. Still went out and got sloshed. Ahh they were the rugby days. :p

1) Cost over £3000 for me. It really depends on what facilities it has. Ensuite will cost more, and if you share a room you'll pay a lot less.

Wow, that's pretty damn expensive. Does everyone pay that much? Are you paying more because you have ensuite?

This must mean you take out a loan of about 8K? 3K to cover tuition fees, 3K to cover accommodation and something like 2K to cover expenses.
Thats a lot for one year!

£3k is about average.

Loans wise, you can't borrow the whole amount. Not entirely sure of how it works on the new system, but on the old one you only get about £3k a year to cover your expenses (accommodation included). You either work, or get your parents to make up the shortfall.

Here's my room, much bigger than the one i had last year thank god, needs a lot of work to make it more homely though! I'm hesitant whether i should put posters up yet, as the room was only painted a couple of weeks ago...

Notice the very tasteful flowery curtains :p I also noticed the other day that my fireplace appears to have nipples...

I'm at Plymouth and I'm not doing photos of my room because..well...they're on my laptop which is hidden away, and, well, I cba :p

I will say that it is rather tidy, though

I think it was the most expensive available. Shame it wasn't really the best though. But that was more down to the social side of things rather than the facilities. Also it wasn't a proper halls of residence since it was run by a housing company for the university rather it being owned by the university.

I'm lucky enough to be in the situation that my parents can afford to pay for my housing (in a house this year, they are paying my rent and bills) so I just got the standard loan (not like I would qualify for anything more).
