The funeral is Monday. Spurs play on Saturday so that isn't an issue, so they just have 2 games on Sunday that are kicking off 2.5 hours apart. I'm fairly sure they've already said policing isn't an issue, what makes you think the police can't cope with 2 games on Sunday?

It’s not just the London games though. Extra police will probably be required from all over the country.

I’m not in charge, it is just very likely. For example, the whole route, or a big part of it from Westminster Abbey to Windsor castle will probably have to be lined with police

On Monday yes. And we don't know the route yet, they might use the M4 to get into London, even if they use the A4 its on Monday.

Footy authorities have ballsed things up is all. We see emotional and fitting tributes at the cricket etc, far superior to cancelling it all.

They have seen sense and football returns. Hopefully they complete the rational thinking and the PL will play at the weekend.

It's being reported that most games will go ahead but 1 or 2 could be pulled due to the level of policing required.

Estimate an extra 2 million people in London this week... I think all London fixtures will be postponed

I heard it on the radio, the met said it was up to footballing authorities.

A Met Police statement read: "Whether matches go ahead is a matter for the football authorities. If fixtures do take place, the Met will work with the relevant partners and ensure that appropriate policing plans are in place."

Just FYI - there are police travelling to the capitol from as far away as Gloucestershire as an example - to help police the funeral and events leading up to it - its been planned like that for years - the MET dont have enough officers to police and event of this scale and keep dealing with crime etc in the rest of London at the same time.
