I just had my first Pot Noodle in about 5 years. I have always liked them, but just haven't had one in ages. So, I made one up when I got back from work today. I noticed on the lid it said 50% less salt. OMG this is sooo tasteless it is beyond belief. What a massive let down. There is just no flavour at all. Chicken and Mushroom btw.
Indeed, i cant remember if they removed it completely but they did alter it. Its the sodium you need rid of rather than just 'salt' (yes i know salt is sodium Chloride, my point is that there are other sources of sodium in foods)Back to Nissin Cup noodles for me I think. I think they must have cut out the MSG.
I indulged in the gourmet of a Pot Noodle the other day (Curry) and was delighted with it - the best bit for me is when you finish the "noodles" and in the juice at the bottom is a bit of the unstirred powder which gives a great hit at the end.
