Even if you have power you may still not be able to work as a home worker if your main office is dark that you connect to, or your customers are dark.
How many computers, routers, switches etc in businesses will be failing due to being power-cycled for the first time in years, or the comedy option where config changes were made in memory but not saved to disk, or even worse changed on disk to something wrong but not live until a reboot. Seen all of these scenarios a bunch of times over the years.
I work in a regional office where the computers that control the id badge activated locks on the doors are in another part of the country etc.
