At what level do you say enough is enough though when it comes to cyber warfare, what are the goal posts that would trigger actual armed conflict.
If they took down pronhub I think a large part of the West would be supportive of armed action :D

Hence Biden's words recently https://www.reuters.com/world/biden-warns-cyber-attacks-could-lead-a-real-shooting-war-2021-07-27/

Financial/economic interests or new paradigms of conflict are no guarantee against actual traditional armed conflict, even nuclear though that is exceedingly unlikely.

They found that out the hard way in the 1930s and things haven't moved so far today that is no longer relevant today - it is the relative peace and security of the last 30-40 years blinding people's perspectives.

Same with this pandemic - so many people see it as something exceptional - but that is largely what has in many ways been a golden era for the last 3-4 decades - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-56085529 outbreaks of contagious diseases was almost more the normal than the exception in the last few centuries and the use of face masks not quite so unusual.

It's all about cyber now and that war is already going on. Governments can attack companies to steal data, then use it for their own projects or sell it. There are no real consequences.

North Korea is making money to feed the fat man through online fraud. They are also going to China and ripping off Casinos along with a load of other antics (or were, they may have got wise to this).

All out war is really a thing of the past. Why bother, it's too expensive.
Because cyber warfare doesn't shore up resources. Cyber is always the magic fairy dust that is sprinkled during exercise but the reality is it's complex and isn't a silver bullet. It's also by no means the answer to everything. Military presence is as much a political means than it is anything else. Simply seen to be present and doing is infinitely as important as blowing things up. It tickles me when people talk about cyber in a conventional sense too. To develop a cyber "payload" can take years.

What's the little rascal been up to now?
US, China Accuse Each Other Of "Bullying" Nations (ndtv.com)

It's not my chiuahua, it's a neighbours' dog but you know what they're like for big mouths that keep yapping What I meant that I'm sick of Putin, Biden and Jinping mouthing off at each other all the time the same way. But chiuahua's are far more intelligent, can be kept under control and you can shut them up and they won't kill billions of innocent people and destroy civilisation.
