Potholes

Ever been to the Slyfield estate where all the car dealers near Guildford? That is the single worst road I've driven down for potholes.

guildford and surrounding areas is rubbish, ive lost 2 tyres to potholes in the last 2 years, slyfield is like the moon, its shocking, I wonder why they hell I pay £225 a year in car tax cos they dont fix the roads and I get punctures if I cant avoid them

Your car tax has nothing to do with it, that goes to central government. Roads are paid fir by the county council. Surry CC were getting screwed by their contractors for years; so much so that they managed to get some money back off them last year for poor works.

However, it was a paultry amount and they retained the same contractors so it looks like nothing will improve in the near future. Poor materials and workmanship.

belgian roads are usually in poor condition, but there are some massive potholes on the motorway of all places.
only in the french-speaking part of belgium mind. bloody frenchies :p

belgium easily has the worst roads ever ! in fact everything else there seems to be needing maintenance too.

I have hit a couple of quite bad ones recently in the dark (well on 13" wheels they are bad) and have been lucky so far, as nothing looks damaged.

the problem is that a lot of traffic is going through belgium, on the way to somewhere else. it's a bit unfair that all the foreign traffic passing through degrades the road without having to pay for any of it.

Since the snow and freeze has started to lift in Sheffield, the roads are even worse in places... Shef was bad enough in the first place now its down right dangerous.

Tell me about it, it's terrible!! Went for a drive earlier I think I've got square wheels now!!

My Dad called the local radio station about the really bad one and to be fair within an hour or two they had a van out there which just filled it in with loose tarmac.

It's not just isolated bits, whole roads will need to be relaid!
