POWER POWER POWER!!!!!!!!

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

  • GeForce GTX 780 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
  • GeForce GTX 780 2-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as *minimum.*
  • GeForce GTX 780 3-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 1200 Watt power supply unit as *minimum.*
If you are going to **overclock** your GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more *stamina.*

Sound advice.

You keep posting that it runs fine - long term it wouldn't be

How do you know this?
The person who owns that computer has and is running that system fine.
Too many people suggest buying a ridiculously powerful PSU, when it is not required. Some people are even suggesting a 1000W PSU, which is overkill.

Have a look at OCUK builds where one card is used depending on the GPU about 450w power Supply upto Premium 600W 80+ Rated Power Supply for a GTX 780Ti 3GB .

Were SLI is used 750W 80+ Gold PSU, 2x Nvidia GeForce GTX Graphics 770 4GB in SLI, Xfire about the same this is from the Gaming PC section OCUK.

PSU Make and Model makes a big difference, also even in the Same Make example: Corsair.
