Also, regardless of getting it to post, the symptoms are obvious. So, I have already removed the GPU to see if they go away (stuttering fans, flashing case fans and very weak power outage) and they do not.
im going to get up early and quite literally strip the pc down to its pants. Then reassemble in an exceptionally thorough way to make s=damn sure the case fans are not shorting anything etc.
If that does not work, then ill shell out some cash and get a replacement PSU but i point blank refuse to believe the power supply has popped its cloggs right at this very moment. Fair enough if im wrong.
Stulid, the thing is, the symptoms are pre post! Its stuggling to power up anything in the case such as light and fans etc. I have removed the GPU entirely and yet the symptoms persist! So, on that basis, even if i could use the onbaord graphics, it wont boot anyway.
Been up since 7am. Dismantled the entire machine. Then, externally from the case mounted my old system and connected it to the power supply. It worked like a dream. Then did the same with my new system (again, externally from the case to make sure it was not shorting anything) and, no post!
My feelings now are that the motherboard may be faulty as it really dies not appear to be the psu considering it still powers my old system perfectly.
Well this is annoying. Ocuk are sending it all back. Apparently it all works! So my only other thought is that it must be the power supply. What sort of power supply will be sufficient?
