ok was in bios but after a few minutes it cuts into power save mode and shuts off, what have I done wrong? thanks.

bios pc health check says my cpu fan is running but my 3 system fans aren't so I must have wired something up wrong there. Do you think this is the issue? I need a cuppa LOL

95c is too hot.
I wouldn't let the temperature go above 60c.

Check that the heatsink is seated correctly.

I wouldn't worry about the system fans showing as not running in the bios. Most fans don't have sensors so they can't be measured.

how do I check that? its the standard intel cpu one.

All the corners should be firmly attached, it shouldn't wobble. It might take some strong pressure on them. Have you watched that video?

I can't put it any simpler than press firmly on each corner in turn. Take it off completely if necessary and realign it :)

i LOVE you guys!!! *kisses* I took it out and put it back in and its now holding at a steady 25 degrees C thats with the fans on high speed. Going to try see what temp it runs at with them lower and if it stays within range I'll keep them lower and quieter :D thanks so much!!!
