Power to Mick Lynch

The board also gave themselves whopping bonuses of totalling ~£3million earlier this year and then in at least CEO Simon Thompson's case, a pay rise of 3.6%.

Its all a throwback to Thatcher.

When she sold it all off to her friends she gave them the biggest cash cow the world has ever seen.

Truss is rumoured to go one better and has talked about privatising the NHS the same way.

In my opinion when the private companies lose a million a day the shareholders should get the bill, not £400 million.

If they didn't get their dividends the PO would have made a profit, isnt it supposed to be profit the share holder get anyway.

If Royal Mail are losing money, then who cares? It's a private company. If people don't enjoy the salary or benefits of working at Royal Mail then just get another job

The compassion and simplicity of Tory Britain, what a joy to behold. Completely oblivious to the seemingly insignificant fact that the service in question might just be a constituent part of national infrastructure.

If only they could be this candid about the fate of the company before they attempt to convince us that privatisation is the future.

Who cares, indeed. Certainly not the Tories.

You can only pay a dividend out of profits, if there are no profits then a dividend cannot be paid.

The service is still operational though, it's so strange to act outraged because a private company is losing money, who gives a ****

Then how can they lose a million a day and yet shareholders get £400million? You see the problem with that?

No they are losing projected profit or income. Those figures are based on the performance they made up for themself. They would like to be giving out another £356m more in dividends and bonuses.

Because the dividend would have been declared and paid out of last years profit. They have been losing money in this years first quarter (dont know what its like currently) but they see it returning to profit at full years end. You are confusing different financial years
