Powerballs

No it isnt ;)

eh? are you implying it's falsely high? cos it aint :s my old man has managed 11.7k with his (i cant get above 10.6k im crap), and the world record is like 16k, so that aint exactly high :S

Tom.

My high score was 12'700 8 months back when my powerball worked smoothly *roars*

Now I can manage 11'700 as the bearings are knackered.

I want one of the metal powerball 350hz so badly, £65 though! :D

They really do improve grip/forearm strength, my forearms were already fairly large, but are rock solid now. :)

I'm confused... what do you do with it? I've read the blurb on the site linked a few posts back but I still can't picture it.

Sounds good though if it improves lower arm strength as I'm a cyclist.

Err... nobody able to help me? The end of the string somehow got stuck in the mechanism, still can't get it out! Will take a pic later...

Try taking it apart, the rubber bit comes off the middle and then you can get into it.

Oh and if it is a proper powerball and it does honestly get damaged in a way you can;t repair they'll fix it for you free of charge no matter what retailer you bought it from or how long you've had it i believe.

Don't use the string to start them, use your thumb and a quick gently flick
That takes a lot of practice though. I don't even have the string for mine anymore so no one else can use it :p I'm the only one that can get it going.

For some reason I can't get over 10k anymore, I used to be able to do it consistently. I took it apart to clean out all the dust but it just doesn't seem the same anymore :(

Yeah I got a new counter when my old one broke. I'm supposed to send the old one back but I haven't done it yet :o

Got mine the other day, was rubbish to start, gave it to my mate and he had it going instantly.

Now were both trying to break the 10K barrier with 9953 the top score. It is really addictive and both our arms are in a constant state of ache...

Anyone got any top tips for those real high speeds... i just cant seem to move my arm fast enough..

Hehe, my bad, I remember having a score similar to that by mistake, my bad!

They are good for a month or 2, then they start to knacker - annoying.

I've had mine for about a year now, used it quite a bit to start with, then havn't touched it for a while. It's still working nicely now as i've started to use it a bit more often. I'm hitting over 10,000 everytime. High score is at 11,071. My flatmates have a habit of trying to switch it on and end up wiping my score :(

I need to learn how to start it more smoothly without the string, I'm scared I might break it some day by using my dodgy starting technique.

My one sounds really loud, compared to friends, but still works fine for spinning and stuff. The counter just doesn't turn on anymore though, might have to look into getting a replacement, half the fun of the thing is the damn counter! It stopped working after only 3 weeks use so it can't be batteries.

I can't get the thumb flick to work :( I use the classic, run it along the mousemat/floor a little. :D
