Quite a few people have posted different starting methods. Is it that tricky to start up? Is there any danger of damaging it by starting it incorrectly?

Got mine this morning. Best score is 7987. It's a lot harder than it looks and at the fastest I've been I thought my hand would fall off! I've only just realised you hold it with the exposed part facing down so I bet I'll do a better high score soon.

13k really screams at you. Develop your own technique to spinning, otherwise the skin on your little finger will 'come off' quite a lot :eek:

I have noticed while on my computer how smooth my fingertips are!

My problem at the moment is finding the ideal technique. When I don't get the rythem right it jerks and clicks as the gyro moves around.

What does this do? The clicking occurs when I'm actually trying to spin it. I'm sure it's just a technique thing as it doesn't happen so much now.

It's annoying how bad I am with my left hand (I'm right handed). It'll take a bit of training to get it good.

Anyone here developed any Powerball related ailments ?

I seem to have developed a lump in my left arm about an inch away from my wrist :confused:

(of course it might have nothing to do with the powerball at all and might be something harmless like a sac of baby spiders or an alien organism)

Mine arrived today and at first was working fine, nice smooth sound as it spun. But then i accidentally dropped it

now it makes a banging noise everytime it spins like its come out of alignment or something.

Btw i get 9315

EDIT actually its sounding much better after some intense powerballing, must have worn itself in. Its not the only thing thats worn in either, ouch.

Im up to 9700, from my original score of 8400. I also found out on the first day that it should not be used too much, as i got blisters on my hands

its not so bad though once you have the technique sorted.

I've been using mine quite a bit in the last few days but I'm worried my forearms are getting far too much exercise for my upper arms.

I find it easier to hold it with the spinning bit facing the palm of your hand.
