Hi there

As per the thread title, if your considering an X1800 XT on offer at OcUK you only have until tomorrow to make your mind up.

As at the end of tomorrow the cards will either be sold out or will increast in price to approx £300 +VAT.

The clock is ticking............

When are the X1900's Coming down in price ? :p

These cards are a bargain though, my powercolour one is ace, running every game i play maxed out, but i dont play F.E.A.R Fortunately :)

The X1900's won't be coming down, in fact ATI are not too happy about how cheap they are as Etailors were supposed to be selling them much higher....

How does that work? Surely they sell them to you guys at a price... and if you want to sell them for 1p then its up to you - but also ** loss?
Or have i missed something :P

its a marketing tactic gibbo has used.

its like me selling something to you then also saying that someone else is interested in the item im selling. that will put pressure on you and i could have no other people interested in the item im selling.

sly tactics.

Haha so it is, i missed that one, him saying that will get more orders in. :D

i woulda thought, at the end of the day.. you pay 50 quid for a graphics card direct from the manufacturer, they dont care if you sell it for 200 :p

There is nothing sly about it at all.......

X1800's are been cleared out and not produced any longer, this means they won't be around much longer. They are going cheap and way below how much they cost the ATI partners to originally purchase and as such are been sold to Etailors at a loss and then the Etailors add a small margin and quickly clear them out for the ATI partners in essence giving customers a good buy but its only a short term thing.

The X1900's are currently been sold well under ATI's guidance pricing by nearly all Etailors, everone is still making good margin but ATI marketed the X1900 to compete with the 7800 GTX 512MB but because everyone is selling X1900's so cheap ATI are annoyed by the fact that what is a superior card has been de-valued and therefor normal customer who don't have much of a clue will look at GTX 512MB at £450 - £500 +VAT and automatically think its better than X1900 which is £300 +VAT where in reality the X1900 is superior and a far better buy.

So this makes ATI look the underdog or its how ATI marketing people see such things as the X1900's were supposed to have been sold for a lot more. Whether ATI will increase cost pricing to its partners/etailors to force their pricing up is unknown but a price drop is very unlikely.

OcUK is selling X1900 XT's for £309 +VAT and X1900 XT-X's for £339 +VAT which for a card that beats the £500 +VAT 7800 GTX is an exceptional price for a lot of card.

X1800's are a great buy and my advice is buy them, whether it be from OcUK or elsewhere because I doubt they will be around for much longer and the offer at OcUK stops end of tomorrow. :)

£300 plus VAT for an xt1800xt..Is it april the 1st tomorrow.....I got see this..

It's only £309 plus VAT for the xt1900xt..

All seems a little bit odd. These offers dont seem that great. There are other etailers doing offers just as good if not better. Seems like a push from OCUK to try and clear some stock.

No plus vat, so still little bit more expensive than OC. Name the shop in rhyme, that'll get around the filters and I should understand who. :0)

n30_mkii, cheapest I've seen a 512MB 1800 XT card is £249 from another retailer. Where have you seen it cheaper?

And nobody should answer that question, unless they want a holiday for a few days.

We have no needs to clear stock.

Irrelevant of stock the price goes back up tomorrow as what we have left over shall be used in system builds.

OcUK is a bit more of a community, clearly one your not used too and OcUK always pushes to give that little bit extra for the customer, in all fairness OcUK was the first to offer X1800's so cheap. :)

All I am doing is saying if your thinking of getting an X1800 grab one whilst you still can, yes I'd like you to buy it from OcUK but at the end of the day these are a great deal so don't hang around waiting because other Etailors will no doubt remove them from offer very soon too or run out.......
