these people speak the truth

but yeah... fun for maybe 10 minutes, whilst looking a complete tool.

It's fun for a lot longer and although I may look like a tool, it's amazing how nobody tells you this, instead they just smile ;)

What with all the marial arts style stances in the pics?

No videos of back flips or anything?

We were just trying to choreograph a small video with a few random moves, should look quite cool when it's properly practiced.

I nearly bought a pair of these when you posted this a year ago. The only thing that put me off buying them is that I don't know of a place I could practice to a good standard without making a complete eejit out of myself in front of a lot of people.

For a complete novice how long does it take to get to the point where you can run and jump about comfortably?

I notice you're in Southampton so only down the road from me, can you suggest any suitable practice locations? :p

Well I've had a lot of experience teaching people (I've taught about 9 people now), and I've managed to teach my housemate to comfortably walk and jog in about 3-4 hours of practising now. Learning by yourself, you can easily double that.

I practice at a place called Woodmill. Its got a nice fairly empty carpark with reasonable tarmac, which is what you want. You just want a nice piece of flat concrete or tarmac where people don't walk by too often :)

I'm very very tempted to order here. Talk me out of it!

When you jump using them there is a possibility that as you go up you may never stop going up.

Thats a good enough reason for not buying them I think.

My head is massive. mavity will prevail and I will almost certainly come back to earth.

Probably for the same reason people don't openly ridicule the disabled.
I frequently ridicule the disabled. It's an old pastime of mine.

Ok, just buy them for the fact that duing summer you can openly look down very fit ladies tops with ease ;)

Oh, and although they advertise that you can jump 6ft and run at over 20mph, this is a conservative estimate. With a few mods someone has run at about 35mph and you can easily jump 8ft with a decent pair of springs :)

Right, I've ordered a pair from Skatehut with a helmet and some knee/elbow pads. Damn you. Thanks for the PM btw.:D
I think I'll have to take you up on your offer of some lessons.

This should be a laugh. How long before I end up in hospital?

I've fallen from about 6ft straight onto my back and it's not even hurt. Although I ALWAYS have at least wrist guards, it's so easy to break your wrist even from a low fall.

You also need to register yourself at poweriserpages.com, it's the biggest PowerBocking community online

PM me whenever you feel your ready for lessons :)

Indeed it is. :(

So tempted to get these myself. Should have bought these instead of a new mp3 player. :D

if my dad's farm wasn't so non-tarmac'y and farm like, i'd get a pair

nice pics btw

I really when these when i first heard about them a year or so ago, but there is no where to pratice. I just wouldn't wear these in public, you would look like a retard.

They do look great fun though :)

Unless you jumped over a car that was stopped at a red light. :)

Or if you jumped over a cop in the high street. :D :D
