Practically given up

An odd way of doing it but i found a sort of "Fix"

If i used D3D ingame, and have both enabled, then turn of vsync whilst alt tabbed out i dont get screen tearing and i dont get mouselag from vsync, that fixes both those problems for me.

So, pretty much ahve this kinda sorted, it is a way but it works!

Welcome to the club OP. I have 80+ hours on Skyrim and for all of it my second 6970 is turned off even with 11.11b drivers which are even worse than 11.10.

This PC sucks.

Expect both graphics cards on the OcUK marketplace later this week, I'm after a 580.

I have a 6870 and I run skyrim at high and it feels smooth to me at 1920x1200.
I always turn vsync on and usually turn the graphics settings down a little to get a smooth 60fps. I paid I think it was £160 for this card and it came with 3 games (shogun 2 far cry 2 and moden warfair 2)
The fact that I am paying less for the latest pc games is what gives it an advantage over my consoles. I always buy the pc version of games and use the consoles for their exclusives.
Even at lower settings the games run smoother and look better than on a console and are cheaper
I admit I had problems with crashes on games but swapping my graphics card to a different none overclocked version made the problems go away.
