Save yourself some money and suspend them with sewing elastic. Works a treat. Can't hear my hard drive and it is a Maxtor!!

impressive but with a 300gigger id bet it hit 50s easily.

It may be higher, because the larger drives have another platter in them. This is the largest drive i've ever owned tho, so i don't know for sure. Only having two platters make it quiet too!

yeah I sorta miss my old seagate IDE 250gigger

Good temps/silent, the SATA 300giggers id say a tad louder but nothing id fuss about especially since I cant hear it but 53c atm always makes me ponder, may take a look at that silent maxx drive Silentmaxx Aluminium HD-Silencer

Whats wrong with the silentmaxx :confused:

, its quiet and my temps are 30oc, cant see anything bettering it tbh.

Nothing wrong with SilentMaxx, but its nice to review a few solutions and make your mind up whats best for your setup.
