** PRE ORDER DISCOUNT - CORSAIR LTD EDITION K70 **

Currently have a Razer Mirror Lycosa, however I feel it is reaching the end of it's life.

What would be a suitable replacement considering the cherry switches? I really like the Mirror Lycosa (actuation 45g), as it is very quiet and nice to type on - whether essays or gaming.
Is there a suitable Cherry switched Corsair Keyboard that would mimic the Razer keyboard?

i have a mirror lycosa it's my back up served me well but I will struggle to ever not use mechanical Keyboards now.

Thanks. I remember the IBM original mech keyboards and the clack they used to make. To think all those years ago when we used to chuck them away the concept would come back into gaming.

Just out of interest, do you have a selection of keyboards in your shop that I could try out if I were to drop by? I'd like a mechanical keyboard but it's difficult to justify spending this sort of money on a keyboard really when you have no idea how the keys will handle.

I'm due to start a new job in a couple of months. Would this new keyboard massively increase my productivity and therefore be an essential purchase? Could you put this fact in writing to my wife?

it depends on your WPM output and how much typing you do

I can average around 45-55 wpm on a mech board. I wouldnt say that I type particularly quickly. or any faster than usual on a mech board.

however. I do find it much more comfortable to type on a mech board.

I've got a K65 and I can type much more quickly and comfortably than with my old membrane keyboard. It's also Red Switch, which isn't meant to be the best switch for typing either. Think I'm going to get on with blue switches soon. :D

I've ordered the brown one of these for at home, but I'm curious....i do a ton of typing at work, what colour would be best for typing and zero gaming from a mech keyboard? My work keyboard is starting to look a little grim.

it depends if you like the click or not.

brown and blue are brilliant for typing. brown doesnt click, blue does.

they are slightly different for actuation force also.

if you are uncertain, i wrote a guide in the stickies of the gaming peripheral section that will help you hopefully
