*****PRE-ORDER: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate E*****

Thats about £180 more than I'd consider a MS operating system to be worth....

Still running XP 32, might get around to getting a copy but it wont be the Ultimate at that price!

Far too expensive. Add to that the fact that Windows XP is a better Operating System and has been since it was released... well, you do the maths.

Vista is lightyears ahead of XP. Win7 is another leap upward. I really can't see any reason for anyone with decent hardware and non antiquated software requirements to run XP

When I was preordering a copy of pro and premium I checked OCUK first but didn't see any, otherwise they'd have got my business a fortnight ago :(

The I.T Professional has spoken people; step away from the O/S...nothing to see here...

"Windows XP Mode" - I like that.

Ordered.

do you need at xp virtual machine. Most people don't and as such a lot of people are wasting £20+ on something they will never use.

£200 is still a good price for an OS that you use constantly for 3 years. Although the chances people need pro let alone ultimate are slim.

As for xp being better, it's not. Simple as that.Xp is outdated and not optimised for modern hardware or software and is extremely wast-full of available hardware.

I don't need it I was joking. :p

I'm humouring people who order such things because of gimmicks. The normal version for 70 or so quid will be fine.
