** PRE-ORDER SPECIAL PRICE: OcUK ATI HD 6850 OC ONLY £89.99 Inc. VAT!! **

I currently have a 560ti (see my sig) but my board supports crossfire, would two of these 6850's be faster than my current setup and if so would my PSU cope?
EDIT:I just noticed these are pci 2.1 where-as my mobo is pci 2.0 this might be a problem i guess?

Is this card better than my gtx460? I need one for my other machine.

Edit:
Can it also be overclocked with msi afterburner?

Edit 2:
Any reason why this one is cheaper than other 6850s ? Is it a cut down version, sorry dont kow anything about Ati cards.

This card, the Asus EAH6850 DC/2DIS/1GD5/V2, has two 6 pin power connectors.

Was wondering about this as well, thanks from me too :)

EDIT: It can be overclocked, yes, it already comes with a slight factory overclock and the reason why it's cheaper is that it's a pre-order offer, it'll probably go for ~£100-£110 after it's out, so I'd grab it now.
It's marginally better than a gtx 460 in some scenarios (Check here for yourself) but mind that site is comparing the stock card.

How would this compare to a single 5770?

About 50% better.

another question, how quick is ATI releasing fixes/updates? I bought my 460 last november and it had ababout x4 driver updates so far.

Not exactly sure of how fast or how many fixes they bring out, but AMD have been releasing new versions of their Catalyst Control Centre due to their new GPUs.

I guess they release them as often as necessary :)

Hi there

Just to confirm these are looking to actually be quicker than the more expensive 7770 making them indeed a true bargain.

As revised specifications Ive now got of 7770, well its a simple case of :(
