** PRE ORDER YOUR NEXT GENERATION CONSOLE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK **

I just want to be able to play GTA 5 without having to buy another Xbox 360 or wait years for the PC version, my first release one died years ago :( and I don't think 5 will look very good on the current gen consoles anyway!

That is a wee bit crazy for a deposit! I wouldn't ever deposit for a game/console so I'm not a 100% sure of the going rate but I think it is usually $20 in American gamestops and such?

I'm not sure why OCUK aren't offering the usual pre-order for free the same with GPUs and such? I haven't read the whole thread so maybe it has already been mentioned so my apologies if it has :D

LOL, if the Xbox 360 was anything to go by I reckon you'd need between 3 maybe 5 xbox 1's to go from year 1 to year 8 of the life cycle.

Tell me about it, I had three of them! Thrice bitten, thrice shy; if I get another console (and with the current pricing of graphics cards, I may well do), I'll be going the PS4 route.

Glad to see ocuk have at lkeast moved. Even Lamborghini only wanted a £10,000 deposit on the £270,000 Aventador when it was announced and no price set for it.

A few months later when they had worked out the price, if you were happy you had to pay another £10k deposit, if you weren't you got your £10k back.

Did Lamborghini say they would refund the difference if the end product turned out to be under £10k? ;)

I bet the team at OcUK are thinking "**** this, we are NEVER doing pre-orders for anything EVER again!" :D

Sensible move making it £300 saves alienating some potential customers and shows a willingness to listen to customers opinions .... bravo :)

Good on ocuk for offering a pre order on this.

However if I were interested in the console I'd be paying the green shopping store or the one on the high street their £20 iirc. £300 or presumably the £5xx that it was is just paying someone else interest in their account instead of mine!

It's interesting that MS still haven't announced the price, perhaps they are waiting to see what Sony place their console at?

I can see that being a bit of a problem if Sony have the same idea :p

The new console Hire Purchase System. Pay a frankly crazy £300 deposit and then only £10.99 a month over an undecided period whilst we both wait for the other to announce your final settlement figure ;)
