I went through the basic tuorial help screen for myClubs and it explained things quite well.

i think the Agents are like packs. You buy an agent that will then grab u a random player.

Scouts on the other hand help u find a specific kind of player and recommends that player to you.

Can players stats be boosted through training/playing matches?

In terms of gameplay, its great but the one thing thats a bit of a downsize is slide tackling, There seems to be a lag for slide tackling but this could be because im use to the instant arcade slide tackling of fifa

You can turn your unused players into trainers in the menu and then you can train your team players. So if you have a GK you never plan on using, turn him into a trainer and you can use him to train your 1st team GK and this gives him points to rank up his level.... I think when they level up they can increase stats but I have no idea on how specific it is, like a "prolific winger" more likely to gain a point towards his ball control or speed etc? Or it may be completely random which stat gets bumped up one.

Slide tackling is garbage in my opinion. The amount of times I have pulled of a perfect slide tackle and won the ball 100% yet still get booked and give away a free kick is ridiculous.
 
Well I am slowly getting better at this now, and on the Master League I am managing to hold my own and not get completely turned over by the opposition.

Banged in a few wins after 10 games and 7th in the league, also doing pretty well in the TIM (Italian league) cup.

Scoring goals is still something I am working on, and crossing is still not my forte. I usually build up a number of passes in and around the box, plug one in and first time a snap shot in the goal. Most of my goals are close range.Seems to be pretty effective for me.

Defending.....yeah lets not talk about that. Work in progress.
 
Well I'm astounded by PES2018! I used to love it years ago but then FIFA just seemed to streak ahead but having played both demo's I was persuaded to give PES a go - and I'm soooo glad I did!

The gameplay is so much more satisfying than FIFA and the graphics are great! (once you get a decent option file!)
 
Well my season turned around drastically and S Coutinho (Master League original lineup) turned into a goal machine and banged in 45 goals across the season.

I won the TIM cup final against Inter, and topped Seria B.

Had about 22 million in the transfer budget and blew about 12 million of it on Asensio to offer me options in my midfield to score and create. In the market as well for a great CM and LW.

Is there a way to change the difficulty of the Master League at all once started?
 
Really good buy this for £21 just now.

And yes, you can change the Master League difficulty from the main ML screen, just go down to System.

Thankyou, tempted to increase the difficulty to pro to ensure that I dont completely dominate the league like I did last year. I turned over Inter 4-0 in the TIM cup final when they clearly had a much better team. That shouldnt be happening.
 
I have a rule for this - always play on superstar no matter what and suffer the consequences. The defeats are demoralising but the wins are epic!

I concur. If this years game relies on the team spirit rating as much as PES2017 did, then you will find Master League with the default players to be EXTREMELY challenging in the first season. You will be glad just to keep a couple of consecutive nil-nil score lines for the first half season before the team spirit gradually starts to rise. Actual scoring a goal is quite orgasmic in early master league on superstar. I suffer quite badly from PESrage. My neighbours must think I am trying to murder someone in the early stages of a new master league.

Haha I know exactly what you are talking about! In my younger days I used to quit the game if I knew I was going to lose, then they released a version (think it was 5 or 6?) which would save your ML file as a 3-0 loss on autosave before you played so had no choice but to play on. Learnt my lesson after that one and just accept whatever happens! Made me a better player too!
 
I did actually throw my ps4 pad on the floor after one particularly ridiculous cheat move by the AI. I usually have a well positioned cushion to safely throw it into but this time I got up and let rip big style, triggers went flaying out and I spent the next hour on my hands and knees looking for the little metal springs to put it back together. The game should really come with a Xen meditation guidebook if you plan to play Master League on superstar with the default squad.

:p I used to punch my screen... Crazy how a game gets us so mad :mad:
 
Ok so I tried Superstar difficulty on a new ML last night, and well......I got my backside handed to me.

My possession was max at around 35%, and every time the COM got close to my goal my ringpiece twitched with the thought and high probability of an imminent goal.

4 games in, conceded 10 goals, scored 0.

Humiliating.....I am trying to push on on the basis that my team will improve and allow me to at least get a sniff of their penalty box.
 
I feel like I need to try my hand back at ML - I have not paid attention to ML since PES 2011 when I had more time!
 
Had my first ML game last night and ended in a 0-0 draw. My keeper was on fire and was lucky I didn't concede but equally had a few chances and hit the bar. I'm starting to really get into it now!
 
So played a few games in ML and have not one a single game yet :(

Scored a fair few goals though, just cant get near the ball when the COM has it, they are too quick and accurate with passing, playing one two's and splitting the defence at will. It doesnt help that I am absolutely crippled with the OG ML team, made a few signings and let a lot go to free up salary funds. Just need to develop the team now.

Got hammered 7-0 by Watford. Properly depressing.
 
I can't take it anymore, NOTHING WORKS!

Passes are always trash - always pea-rolled so they're easy to intercept
Cursor selection is a joke
I've ALWAYS barged off the ball and can't outpace anyone regardless of stats
80% of goals I concede are from my fullbacks inability to get anywhere near the opposition winger
Acceleration takes 5 paces to get up to speed, instant for the CPU
My 6'6 centre backs can't win headers ever (Matip and VVD)

Playing on Superstar should be a challenge but the challenge should come from the imperious CPU AI, not handicapping your own team.

PES 2017 had the same issues but they weren't so cancerous, if I'd have bought it on Xbox the disc would've been snapped by now :(
