Prefered browser, Chrome or Firefox. And why?

Have recently gotten back into using IE in its 11 version. It seems a lot more stable and oddly, quicker than Chrome. Still run both though just incase something wont work on one, it'll work on the other ! Havent bothered with FF since the late 00's really.

Chrome with Adblock Plus and 'Allow some non-intrusive advertising' unchecked in the ABP options.

Reason for using Chrome, synchronising across all devices and platforms including my Mac.

I prefer and currently use Chrome.

I always liked Firefox previously but it is so unreliable with Flash now that I couldn't stand it any longer.

Chrome now has that ridiculous taskbar notification menu that pops up which they've forced to be on.

You can't turn it off. Even disabling it in ://flags, it'll come back.

Ironically IE11 is rapidly becoming the quickest and lightest weight of the browsers in the real world. I swap between it and FF and although FF appeals to my need to "tinker" with stuff IE seems to "just work".

Other stuff turned me off it too, like the resize bug in Ubuntu, the terrible built in flash that doesn't work properly in Ubuntu, etc.

Firefox and loving the latest version. I've given Chrome several really good goes, for up to a year at a time, but each time it's ended up nuking itself from space for no apparent reason and not even a reinstall will get it going again. So I've given up on Chrome and am happy with Firefox which has been ultra reliable and easy to use.

Firefox, because it's open source. One never knows what Google are doing with their data.

I've been exclusively using Chrome (on my Windows PC) for a few years now, but I actually launched IE11 today for the first time since switching to Win 8.1 to give it a go, promoted by some post in this thread. And after an hour or so I have to say its not actually that bad now.

I'm not converted yet by any means, but I think I'm going to give it a chance for a week or so and see how it goes.

I agree, its not bad as it use to be.

firefox has improved. but im still with chrome for now.
