Premier League Game 28th November

Appalling result for Rovers, a scoreline that certainly wasn't deserved.

Dowd, my word, could he have had a worse game? He basically ruined the game with the sending off. What a clown.

End of the day, we didn't take our chances when we were on top in the first half an hour, and were made to pay for it.

I hope this is a good omen for Newcastle at the weekend, with the 'burn players tired after this evenings match. As people keep saying, it's hard to get a result away at Blackburn and our current record isn't good.

It's sad to say but I think a draw would be a good result for us on Saturday.

How did Villa look may I ask?

They looked pretty solid at the back. We didn't have too many clear cut opportunities - most of our efforts were long rangers, no one on ones etc. Laursen won everything in the air. Barry played well. Carew is a shocker, as is Reo Cocker.

If they replace those two, they will have a very, very good side imo.

Young cleaned Oijer out far too many times, but then i guess it was always going to be that way, he's rapid.

I haven't seen any replays of the goals or anything yet, so not sure whether Mccarthys in the first half was offside, or whether the penalty was indeed a penalty.

Carew isn't fully match fit IMO, but is still a real handful and a good foil for Agbonlahor.

Reo-Coker, I think, was a poor signing at £8m, he huffs and puffs, but rarely blows the house down.

We need another striker for sure and another attacking midfielder.
Very pleased with how it is going this year, we have the money now to compete with the top four, well we do if Randy is gonna spend it.
With our wingers we have maybee crouchy coming back to villa park, it is a dodgy one whether it would work or not

personally don't want Crouch back under any circumstance!

Any suggestions then, we really need a good striker dont think Carew is good enough, more like a spent force who is way past his best.
Times I have watched Villa and seen poor finishing is beyond me, still it has got better of late, Shame Berger is not up to it ( injury prone ) as he is a quality player on his day.

Really don't know to be honest - genuinely depends on the funds Randy puts up for us.

Carew is still an almighty handful - Micah Richards said he is his hardest opponent due to his size, and bulk - but his pace has gone - there is a clip on YouTube of him absolutely destroying Cannavaro and Ramos for Lyon vs Madrid - if he was back to that level, he would be awesome.

There is talk of Adriano being effectively booted out of Inter in January - I know he is supposed to be going a little mad, but if he could get back to something like his form, then what a signing that would be! He has been "linked" in the press with Man City and West Ham, so why not us!
