Having now been in 12 draws since throwing money in, my return is ever so slightly below 5%, whilst my other half is just shy of 5.5% which I think is reasonable given the added 'entertainment' value of not knowing what's coming from month to month

Aware there is volatility of course but there's a difference between taking a small hit on the return and taking a big hit on the return.

I don't mind not winning every month, I do mind only winning once this year.

Edit - 2023 I was at 4%.
2024 to date Im at 1.1%.

Dont mind taking a 1% hit for the chance at bigger prizes, but when that gap grows to 4% hit that is becoming quite substantial.

Obviously percentage changes depending on what period you look at, I'm counting mine from January when the full amount was eligible for the draw, I'll likely swap to a rolling 12 month period come January or maybe just work on a year to year basis, not sure yet.
