Premium Bonds - If you post to say how much you've won, please also say how much you have invested.

I've been thinking about how investment platform fees affected what investments I make, e.g. HL fees are capped if you hold only ETFs, so you hold ETFs even if you wouldn't have otherwise. I'll be moving to ii for flat fees to resolve that.

I realised the same is true of premium bonds, it makes you want to have £50k when you wouldn't otherwise have that much cash sitting around, maybe you'd have £20k cash and invest the other £30k - or whatever arrangement you think is appropriate. So I'm leaning towards classifying premium bonds as incentivising sub-optimal behaviour and ditching them for that reason in 2025.

They have thier place if you've used up your ISA allowance for the year... As they are tax free and as safe as you'll get...

But the returns aren't great!

I'll be fully ditching in april.
The new tax year will mean I can move it all from PB to my cash isa.

If I am correct the one million winners are contacted the first of the month and all the other results are shown the next day\tomorrow. Nothing today for me, so looks like I'll be in work :)
