Prep for Lancaster bomber flight next weekend (duxford - 14th sep)

I guess there were probably better places for the display as a whole but I did alright considering none of it was planned and I'd never been there before.

The jets and larger aircraft generally all flew overhead at least once or twice so it was good :)

Awesome sound love it
cold war tour next week and only one more year flying with the vulcan
The red arrows have no equal with precision flying
As for getting prop blur it so much easier when on the ground and not moving ,I must improve my panning skills or get a tripod and gimbal to get good
1/60th in poor light makes things awkward ,it made the photographing jets seem easy
heres some of my faves

I stuck all my shots in the other thread for motors/transportation etc :D

I really must get into an airshow one of these days instead of ending up outside for one reason or another!

Don't know why your pics look great ,but if your going to video the commentary adds to the ambience and helps with knowing where they are going to photo
,well I'm looking forward to the next show hopefully I'll have a longer reach lens by then ,most of mine aren't over 200mm ,hopefully a olympus 40-150mm f2.8 with a dedicated 1.4 converter, should get me closer

I just fancy getting closer and being in the target audience rather than on the periphery. You can get some really great 'different' shots when you're not in the centre of the display but you mostly get planes that are just too far away for a decent shot :/
