Not worth the extra 100s. You could fit a full custom WC loop for the difference in price, which will be 10x better.
I'm not saying it's worth it, just that the cooling is the USP.

Drop the visual settings down a single notch and game on a lesser card. For people complaining about "amd have no decent high end cards," they haven't tried the Vega cards.
Amazing value for performance in the Vega cards.

Amazing value for performance in the Vega cards. This whole "but I need the best fastest card for the visual levels I play at" garbage is nonsense. If you're immersed in a game, having a visual setting turned down one notch to get a solid level of FPS, is all that's needed and not even noticed when gaming.
Lots of these £1000+ cards are bought for epeen and that's it. Covering the epeen ego stuff with "I play at 4k 100mhz so I need a card that's the same price as a car" story is just that, a cover story, for epeen bragging.
If you can't get the 100mhz then drop a setting down a notch. Zero need to be feeding the Nvidia monster with a 1700 quid graphics card. ZERO.
Also, this " I buy them to test and play with high end hardware" YOURE STILL BUYING THE CARD, YOU'RE FEEDING THE MONSTER"
Quit complaining about price when you're still buying it on the excuse of wanting to test it.
Would it kill you to wait 2 months to buy the card after Nvidia decide "we've taken the P with this card, let's knock 400 quid off it as nobody is buying it" THEN buy it to play and test it.
and just how much is the KingPin edition??

Isn't this basically what were the poseidon cards? I remember the 1080ti poseidon release, it was £900, now this one is nearly twice the price for the same thing near enough! unbelievable
Poseidon was just a water block that had to be connected to a custom loop, was it not?
Ah so it was! Still, this isn't worth nearly twice the price though
Dev's know that a lot of people aren't buying current gen high end cards because of the prices so they'll optimise their games for the cards people do own. Their priority is MAXIMUM sales so why would they design their games for GPU's that most people dont have?
$1900 in the states.
It comes with an AIO cooler which is a joke as the first thing you will want to do is rip it off and use something better.
I doubt this is true but never the less even if it was the case it’s great news for owners of high end cards because it means we’ll get more lifespan from our cards. No one wants their cards to get outdated too quickly because graphics improve that a super fast pace that’s not fun.
With that being said some of the newer releases are starting to show signs up struggling on the 1080ti at 4K which certainly wasn’t the case last year - biggest example so far is the latest Metro game.
I don't see a problem there personally.
A 240mm rad is more than sufficient to keep it cool.
Fitting a custom block may look prettier, but it isn't going to yield better OC results imho.
