Preparing for Lich King

I would have to buy a new copy. I got a US imported version, so i'm stuck on a US server. Aint played since release really. Might play again if WAR fails to improve though, would just have to relevel.
 
Go buy the keyfob. I can't be bothered to explain it (after having to do it repeatedly for guildies) but consider its the same method now being emplyed by banks to avoid phishing and online banking hacks.

then search for "authenticator" it's as safe as you will ever be from keyloggers (basic idea: a part of your login details change every 20 seconds, even if keylogged they cant get the new code).

i was looking at buying one of those a few weeks back ><

just ordered blizz keep taking my money :( well at least its going to them insted of ea :P
 
My local high street shop wouldnt let me pre-order said they had used their allocation so ordered via the web in the end.

I guess there is going to be some downtime when this activates but did the large patch put loads of this content and links in place or is it going to be massive downtime.

Given the latest patch being iffy for a couple of days I guess more of the same so being 1st at 12.01 with WOLK probably won't help much ;)
 
Is there actually any prep needed for wotlk ? :p

I'm lvling my priest first as guild needs a healer. Plus i really enjoy healing. I've never done any of the 25man - well ive done gruul and maggy pugs. But nothing past it because we dont have the people in my guild and we cba with putting up with idiots.

We will most likely do like we did with BC. Once hit lvl 80 and got fairly well kitted go back and have a look at the old 25 man raids. Well in the case of BC it was look at the old 40 man raids.

But still with all raids now being 10man i cant wait my guild will be able to see end content :)
 
It's crazy how much the bosses have been nerfed.

The guild I'm in, on Doomhammer, were only doing MH and TK before the patch.
Since the patch we have cleared BT and have downed one boss in SWP.

Not complaining though :D
Anyone else been taking advantage of this?

I found that around level 40 it became hard to level. The mount did nothing for me as the exp grind just got much worse for me being a new player at the time. PvP BG saved me as I had discovered WSG.

This was a fair few years ago mind, but that was my experience as a new player to the game. Leveling is faster now and mounts are gained at level 30.

Personally I blame blizzard and there crappy level 40 cap on first release. When they raised it to 60 it really was noticeable the exp grind.

I wish I was, been playing for years and never saw BT and Sunwell because I got burnt out and quit, rerolled a few months later and now my new 70 (5th one I have leveled yet my only 70 now) isn't geared enough to experience it.

A friend of mine was 2 bosses into SSC 2months ago when he joined a new server/guild, now 2 days ago they got the first Illidan kill. They haven't got Archi yet though they wiped on 11% just before the wisps come.. oh well.

No one ever mentions my server (Nagrand) which is surprising because it seems to be very popular at the moment.

My god I can't wait till WOTLK hits... changing my mains so trying to level level up to 68 min. Stalking people to give me instance boosts currently and it is going fairly well :) 52 now... :p

Im on Nagrand Dark :-) got a lvl 45 druid on there at the mo only started up again a couple of months ago, does seem like a popular server
