Hi all,

After a pressure washer to buy for Xmas for my car to clean, looking at eventually getting snowfoam lance attachment

Which pressure washer is good in the market? I know there are two leaders Karcher and Nilfisk,

I have been having a look at Nilfisk but not sure which model, I want to spend around £50-£60 if possible on a presssure washer.

I can buy any snow foam attachments after

needs to be good, reliable, good powah

Nilfisk C110 is £60 on Amazon at the moment. Got one myself over the weekend as they were highly rated on here and detailingworld. Used it and it was brilliant, much better than the Karcher I used to have and is an absolute steal for the price

Cool I was looking at the C110 :)

Is the hose that comes standard not long enough or is it just better with the longer hose?

My standard hose split unfortunately and the upgrade to be honest was more that I didn't like having to drag around the pressure washer unit - with the longer hose I can leave the unit by the garage door and get all around the car with just the hose :)

That said, the new hose cost a fair bit more than a replacement standard size would've done.

Think I will just go for the £59 C110 kit, the attachments are cheap enough I can just get what is needed

I managed to buy a Karcher K4 last year in Jan sales. Was from my local Halfrauds, but with a few specials and online order with discount code, managed to pick it up for around £180.
Im very happy with it. Never had another brand, so cant really comment.
Karcher snowfoam attachment works brilliantly though!

Sounds good, not doubting the Karcher brand certainly the best, although I am not looking to spend too much really.

I've ordered the C110 too, along with a foam attachment and some of the pH neutral foam. Detailing world seems split on whether this PW has enough umph to do a decent foam, but I have soft water here so hopefully I'll be ok, if not then just using a bit more foamy stuff should do the trick.

C110 here and while it is reliable, it is weak and takes forever to blast down the whole car. Gets the job done but is only just enough, if you can afford a more powerful unit then do that.

I've also got the C110, had it for a few years now, have only washed the car using it 3 or 3 times but each year it does take a beating washing the front driveway and the slabs in the rear garden and it's never missed a beat.

My only gripe with it is that getting the power hose screwed into it is overly hard in that I can never get it to screw in properly and always end up fumbling around for a good 5 odd minutes.

With the aftermarket hoses you can get quick fit/disconnect fittings :) Obviously depends how much it bothers you - was a no brainer for me as I wanted the longer hose too (and as I'd initially forgotten above, my original split lol)

I bought the Nilfisk C110 and after about three uses the main hose split just below the lance.

Quick email sent off to Nilfisk and within 3 days they'd sent me a replacement. I was very impressed not only with their product (no problems since) but also their level of customer service.

Tried to set mine up the other day, had a few issues though

You know the water inlet connector on the front of the nilfisk c110, what type of connector do you use with your hose to connect to it? can you just buy one of those £1 aqua stop connectors to connect your hose to the nilfisk?

there are mixed reports, some saying they used an aquastop connector, some said they had issues and had to use a connector without aquastop?

I did buy a connector that had aquastop, but it wouldnt go on properly, then when I took out the aquastop bit it worked but kept unclipping and spraying all over the place?

Can anyone let me know what you use? did you have any issues with it coming off?

Just use a push on hose connector, but not an aqua-stop as that is for a tap and operates in the opposite direction of flow so would prevent water to the pressure washer. If it keeps popping off, just buy another female and male set, there are lots of rubbish ones on the market that are not tight enough.
