Prevented a mugging

I was sat at my PC, when I heard a lot of shouting, "Help, NO, Stop, HELP", so I donned my ninja costume, grabbed my keyboard and leapt out the window.

:D

Seriously, well done. Good to hear the boys in blue were on your side.

Nice one willd58. :)

Turning into a GTA style vigilante is a great thing i think.

Do you get some kind of medal or some reward or anything?

Not worth chasing after them, kinda foolish imo. Her brothers could have turned up and kicked the living **** out of you.

You should have just saved the woman, brought her into your house and let the chavs be until the coppers turned up.

*Update*

Iv been called and asked to go to Bristol Crown Court as a witness at the end of this month, does anyone know what to expect at this point?

I'm guessing its above a Magistrates court in terms of seriousness, it also means that the police officer was right, whilst they appeared to be 2 chavvy girls, they were actually older than me (its not in a youth court)

How long is this guna take, the whole day, more than a day? Will there be a jury? (scary thought) Should I be aware her relatives might be there?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Seems like it could either be a court of appeal, in which case you might have to give evidence into what happened, to prove that they should be sentenced.

or

Could be to give evidence on the seriousness of the crime as to give correct sentencing.

or

They have pleaded not guilty and it is a full trial.

Im not sure how correct this is but i am sure someone will come along soon :)

Not sure how to advise you - I wouldn't worry though I'm sure it will all be explained to you by the police/CPS nearer the time.

Just wanted to say fair play for your actions - the "muggers" would probably have got away with the attempt had you not followed them, so well done, hopefully some form of justice will be served :)

Nice work.

I've just had to be a witness as Bristol Crown Court (top court, above magistrates court).

You will just have to answer questions by 3 barristers (one for you and one for each of the defendants). The barristers can be a real pain (defendant ones) as they will try and confuse you to make your statement discounted.

There will be a jury, its very overwhelming at first but its not that bad.

Missed this first time around. Bloody good effort that man, you need to make a stand against the scum in this world or they'll win.
