He's football crazy, he's football mad!
my old mans a dustman he wears a dustman's hat, he bought 10,000 tickets to see a football match
He's football crazy, he's football mad!
From the tiny ant (from the tiny ant)
To the elephant! (to the elephant)
That's all I remember, when it was sung properly it was surprisingly awesome![]()

I burst out randomly with the following lyric recently:
"It takes 100 thousand years, for a forrest, to grooooooooooooooow"
And to my surprise loads of people seem to know it! There were a bunch of songs all about the rainforest being destroyed that I think loads of schools were given to perform, or something, but I cannot find anything about it on the internet.
"20th century highway man.... stand and deliver! He's heading for the Amazon river!"
"Wild cats, wilds cats, king of the Jungle.... something something... Jaguar!"
"Jungle Disco"
"Emerald crown.... something"
But the first one I mentioned was epic, I still know all the words
Anybody else recall this?
"How long will it be, before you can see, that what we are doing is wrong.....?"
All our hymns came from this little gem

The ink is black, the page is white, together we learn to read and write.................. to read and write.
This song suddenly came into my head the other day. Haven't heard it for years, (obviously!) I wonder if they do still sing it in schools?
I remember 'Sing Hosannah' had a chorus which went 'sing Hosannah to the king of kings, sing Hosannah to the king...' and everybody would still sing 'of kings' on the end, much to the disapproval of the music teacher.

I was in a church of england primary school so I was forced to sing countless hymns. Not pleasant as I wasn't religious (and still am not).
"Autumn days when the grass is jewelled,
And the silk inside a chestnut shell,
Jet planes meeting in the air to be refuelled-
All these things I love so well!
So I mustn't forget,
No I mustn't forgeeeeeeeeet,
To say a great big thank you
I mustn't forget..."

Autumn Days is a nice song whether you're religious or not, you can still be thankful for all the good stuff even if you're only thanking Lady LuckOk, now I can't stop singing that!
My primary and middle schools were CofE (not sure of many that aren't) but I just went with the flow back then. I enjoyed singing and didn't really care what the words were. I'm sure that wasn't the point though![]()
