Been in hospital a few days now and staying until next week. No reason for his admittance has been released.

do you think we’re being told the truth about the seriousness of his health?

I don't know, but he is 99 years old, been in and out of hospital for the last few years so guess his age is catching up. Hopefully it is nothing to serious.

It can't be anything too serious if he walked in under his own steam. Probably just a mild infection that has had him feeling under the weather, same as the last couple of times he's had a stay in hospital.

Hope the old fella makes a quick recovery.

99 is a good age, can't expect people to live forever.
As above its not necessarily anything serious they always take ultra precautions with him.

The fact that Charles has visited risking a public backlash as most of us are banned from visiting relatives in hospital says it is more serious than some of his more recent stays. I hope he makes a swift recovery and returns home as I do everyone who is admitted to hospital but at 99 he is getting less and less likely to come home each time he goes in.

I'm inclined to agree here. Charles visiting makes this a little more serious than the previous stints in hospital.

Hope Philip is as comfortable as he can be and makes a recovery.

Neither of them can expect to live a great deal longer, sad fact of life. Now if only Charlie boy wasn’t next in line he is to the monarchy as Boris is to the position of prime minister!

They should both be absolutely delighted to have lasted this long. I hope he's comfortable if it's his time like with (nearly) anyone.

Charles is going to have the most anticlimactic coronation ceremony in the history of British monarchs if Elizabeth can't hang around for a while longer.

Twitter was full of rumours last night about "forthbridgedown" (the code for Phillips death) but seems it was a hoax.

I do agree though, Charles visiting despite Covid restrictions says a lot
