Printer Cartridges

I've used cheapo cartridges in my Epson R300 since the printer first came out. Not one bit of bother, apart from having to clean out the waste ink sponge. (But you'd have to do that anyway.)

Nothing but bother with compatibles in an Epson printer. They killed 3 of them!
I now use an HP P1006 Black laser, and just bought myself a Samsung CLP-315 for the very rare colour that I do. Buy compatibles for the HP for £18. Not crossed that bridge yet with the sammy . . . . Its £129 for 4 colour toner carts  and ive not seen compatibles yet!

I’ve seen printers ruined by cheap ink cartridges. If someone made them for mine I wouldn’t buy them.

I use compatibles for my Canon printers and have had no problems at all for many years. I pay £1 a cartridge off eBay.

buy genuine's much better

And worth more than blood!

Compatables all the way, £1 a cartridge can't go wrong, bought a shed load a few months back, never going to run out and they work fine in my Epson DX3850. Sod paying £12-£13 a piece, thats a complete joke!

So glad I got a laser printer, it's so much cheaper to run over an ink one, not like i print photos or anything these days.

If you want quality photos or graphics printed get genuines, otherwise i'd just get compatibles.

I've been using Tesco refills on my black cartridge, it's a little messy to refill and the quality isn't quite as good but it's far far cheaper (works out at ~£1.50 per refill?)

ive used refilables and continuous for a few years now without any hassle.

before you decide on 3rd party or genuine, think about how much the printer is worth and how easy it is to replace and the print quality you need?

Agreed ^, I use old Paula here for nothing more than black and whites, with a bit of colour should random text require it. I know not to bother with photos or large pictures as she's just too old to do a good job.

So cheap black refills all the way.
