I take it most of you will take this over Fifa 07!! lol I know I will as I never really liked the Fifa Games maybe the latest one is different.

Anyone going to be playing online? Anyone fancy starting some sort of league?

Edit : Reckon we need 10 in order to start some form of league, those interested so far :-

1. First off I assume we only use Club teams?

5. Once we know who is participating/what teams they are playing with it'll be easy enough to draw up a fixture list. I suggest that we allow a week for each set of fixtures to be played (hope that makes sense) that way people should be able to arrange a convienient time to play their match.
6. I'll just run the league in excel and post the results and table each week, day to be agreed, but we'll need a cut of somewhere for you lot to email me scores.
7. I'm going to have to put a lot of trust in you lot reporting the correct scores lol, is it possible to take a screen shot or something for proof of score? If we don't think that's neccessary then I'm cool with that.
8. I also assume we aren't just sticking to Prem teams? Having not played yet I don't know of the difference in class between teams. In Pro Evo 5 I had my moments with some of the lesser teams but generally put that down to luck more than anything else!

These are just a few points from the top of my head, please feel free to email me (in trust) or post here your thoughts on how such a league will run. This will be your league all your advice will be taken on board - so if you don't speak up now and you aren't happy with anything on your head be it .

Can all those that are interested in playing please email me and i'll update the first post with names. I've read quickly through this thread and 10 seems perfectly doable as a min hopefully we'll get more but obviously no more than 20 as it'll be a little hard to manage I think.

Teams to be drawn will be the top end teams from the Premiership,La Liga and Serie A which should give us enough teams to mess about with - trust ok. I pormise all forum names will be put into a hat drawn at random and then a team will be drawn in the same manner. Please don't winge if you don't get the team you want!! lol . If we start 11.11.06 you'll have plenty of time to find the strengths/weaknesses of the team allocated to you.

When I first starting playing pro evo 5 I was amazed at how hard it was but now I'm able to hold my own at 6 stars and have to say it's easily better than FIFA anyday.

I've never played only though because of all I've heard about lag but apparently they've improved the online mode for 6 so who knows. :D
 
I've chosen PES6.

Played the FIFA demo and while it was fun, it's not a game I can take at all seriously, which I like to do with my football games.

PES6 is great though and definitely the best PES game yet.
 
I heard that they are using the PS2 format for this game, is that true or are we going to get the XBox360 version with better graphics and such. I am hoping the latter!

I've had a mail from the place i pre-ordered saying pc release has been put back until the 10/11/06 :( Although most are still showing 27/10

Doesn't suprise me at all - at first PC was reported as being a week later, then two weeks, then back to 27th - terrible communication from Konami and from the etailors selling it in general.

Excellent will do mate! Anyone else interested let me know in this thread!! Hopefully the game will still be out this week!

I never really experienced too much lag on Pro Evo 5 to be fair but any improvement is welcome with the release of this follow up :)

You'll get Xbox360 graphics and gameplay, although I won't lie, it's not great.

The PC version is still using the old PS2 engine... :rolleyes:

PES won't be next gen on PC until PES7.

Look on the bright side, at least the PC version will have all the features of the ps2 version. Unlike the xbox 360 version which doesn't even let you save your replays or transfer players...

Oh god thats true :(

I've always bought PES on the PC but want it on the 360, not being able to save replays sucks big time.
