fifa 11 is pap after playing the pes demo, konami has done a lot

I played the FIFA11 demo (as I always do for comparison) and it felt no different from FIFA10 to me, apart from the passing, which was a little more difficult, but the whole experience still leaves me cold. I still get no satisfaction from scoring, plus it really has been left behind graphically now, PES looks a great deal better.
As for the player movement, I much prefer the more natural looking mo-cap stuff in PES, than the slightly smoother, but less real-looking FIFA animations.
PES all the way for me this year, it looked last year like FIFA might get to a point where I'd defect in the next couple of years, but FIFA has seemingly stood still, while PES has made a lot of ground. Looks like I'll probably be sticking with PES for the next year or two, unless FIFA pull something epic out of the bag and PES get into a rut.
This is all my personal preference btw, I'm not looking to get involved with more PES vs FIFA nonsense, I'm aware that many others have the opposite opinion.
but calling FIFA 'pap' is just being silly.
Pap? Seriously?
I can appreciate some people may prefer to have to struggle to play a game because its so flawed that its 'hard to score' and the goalkeepers like to stand outside of their own penalty area, but calling FIFA 'pap' is just being silly.
I think Konami need to take a different approach, the ideas are there but they need to work harder on executing them, even if it meant skipping PES 2012 or releasing it later on.
I had it happen on one of my games, but it was the correct thing for the keeper to do and he cleared the ball in time, avoiding a one-on-one situation arising.I have played about 25 games of the PES demo now. Not once has a keeper ventured outside the box.

When I played a game of each PES and Fifa I initially thought PES was better. Then I went back to fifa and it has great improved from Fifa 10. Still not totally happy with the "auto" passing system as I have always been a PES fan but at the moment between the two. Fifa is winning the race.
I will now go back to PES and play 10 - 20 games and see how I feel.
I'm the opposite at the moment, stuck with Fifa since 08 but after playing both demo's I feel PES has the edge. It's just a shame they can't get all the licence's ;-/
The main positive is scoring in PES just gives me a real buzz where as Fifa feels like I'm just going through the motions most of the time.
I thought I'd give the PES demo a try - how can anyone prefer this over FIFA? Bizarre.

So just because you don't get on with it, then it's the gameplay's fault?Because the gameplay is so awful that it makes it harder to score, which is more rewarding... apparently![]()
