Will be getting this as well as FIFA this year so I have a proper football game to play as well as something for online play. Unless of course PES sorts its online out.
I really hope PES gets it right this year, most people seem to agree that their 'next-gen' versions haven't been up to scratch (although for me, I really enjoyed PES09. 2010 is terrible though).
The early signs from people who have played the early builds are sounding quite good. As long as they can fix the goalkeepers, which seems to be the main complaint from the most recent builds, hopefully they will regain some of their old fan base.
I've seen the potential in the last couple of FIFA games, but I can never really get into them for some reason.
i still think no footy game touches Winning Eleven 10.
what a brilliant game that was!

It's been the same hype since the last the four or five versions with this game.
The overhauls, the improvements, the online lag fix etc, etc.
Looking at the videos, it doesnt suggest to be anything drastically different from the previous dross.
Knowing what you said about the move to 360 dribbling from FIFA 09 to 10 - I find that comment to be more negative than anything if thats the feature thats the pick of the bunch...

But you said you want a game that plays realistically?
The Personality+ feature is meant to make the game more realistic..

Yes those are my concerns too. It looks as if you just press one button and it executes all of those moves, definitely a game breaker online if used properly. I think FIFA has got skills right in terms of the stick, the crap players just concede possession and the players who put a lot of time into learning it, like that guy on YouTube get real results, although the best skill is to just be a good passer in my opinion. That said, if I do get this it will be mainly for the offline modes, let's see what the demo is like tomorrow.

While I agree to an extent I also think that online lag will have a big part to play. There's a difference between pressing one button to activate a string of 4 or 5 tricks and having to use the Skill Stick to do one move at a time. I think this will be a way overpowered tool for online play but I suppose we'll just have to see. Seeing as I've only just gotten my arse out of bed I think I'll go download the demo now.

Seriously? I think Konami have had enough chances to get it right - theres just not enough progress being made. People complain at EA for adding small updates to FIFA each year - thats far more substantial than what Konami have done especially considering their game is so woeful.
I doubt Ill bother even downloading next years demo - only did it cos Skip was raving about the updates - considering the last game he recommended was Naughty Bear Im gonna start ignoring the little ****
