Do you guys think I'll enjoy the full version if I enjoyed the demo?

I had great fun with the demo, but I'm not sure about buying it now, after reading some of these comments...

If you enjoyed playing the AI then get it, its no different really gameplay wise from the demo so buy it mate. Most are just peeved about the online play as most just buy it for that :(
 
Well I'd be buying it with the sole intention of playing my mate online, but the online play doesn't sound like it's up to much at the moment.

So I'm not sure at the moment :(

I'd wait for the patch then mate, I'd regret paying £40, but luckily I got it for £30.

It's the best version since PES4 IMO. Yes there are problems online and with replays, but there's enough there for it still to be a major improvement over other versions. The controls are sharp, the player movement excellent, shooting is now improved (so that anything hit with a power bar over halfway full will not instantly end up in row Z), players make mistakes like they do in real life, the AI defends better, and more. The faults it has can be patched fairly easily I would think (especially as Konami are asking fans to email in with their complaints so they can sort a patch ASAP), while the main part of the game is still rock solid.

It's obviously not that different. It was similar to that. Mine went in, but rather than playing on I got a corner.

As for the game, I've played it Co-Op with a friend tonight for a few hours. It's much more fun, although difficult to accept it as a serious game with the area's it lacks in. But I don't think it's as bad as I originally made out, however, for me it doesn't match Fifa 08 in many areas.

To whom it may concern,

I received the new PES2008 game this week after following the series for a number of years, like the rest, this was greatly anticipated.

After playing one game against the AI, I decided to play on Live! that I mainly buy the game for, I'm not going to go into the details but its an absolute disgrace this game got released early with these issues, its an awful way to treat existing and new customers with this amateurish creation of the game, the lag on games is unplayable, was there sufficient testing done prior to the release of the game? I’ve never played a game so incomplete before.

The game remains on the shelf until this notorious 'patch' rectifies all on the game. Will it?

At the moment I'm willing to take the game back and go back to my fantastic alternative, FIFA. It seems EA have actually been nice to their customers for one.

Not a happy customer, I don’t care if you don’t respond to this, Konami’s customer service usually doesn’t but at least I feel better complaining about this shoddy game.

I went a bit OTT but I wrote it quickly and don't care to be frank :D

Those numbers will most probably be ping times, a ping in a three figure number is going to return that kind of performance. Not good.
 
If that is the ping times then the netcode needs some serious work. The fact that at intervals and menus, every game ive played, ive had a sub 50 ping to my opponent which proves potentially there is a good connection there. But as soon as a player moves in game it jumps to 2000+ along with the other player.

Il write out my letter and send it off in a bit.
 
a 3 figure ping? i'm getting 4 figures!

i've played a few games now and i can't help but comment despite my earlier post saying i usually give it 100 or so matches.

KONAMI...YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

It's a shocker isn't it!

To be fair, I've played 5 online games and only one of them was really bad. A couple were OK at best and the other two were fine.

But...to release a game in this state is awful.

I have played 2 games and now FIFA is back in my 360. I think I'll wait until the lag is fixed as online is all I play.

By the way, I didn't even finish my match. Connection was lost after about 70 minutes. :rolleyes:
 
The online is a joke, worthless, we even played some player matches online last night with 2 xbox's in the same house and it still lagged :o
