Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - Official Thread

Online is better although still not super, much more playable though.
Seems that I'm unable to play more than one match in a row without logging out and logging back in again though, which is stupid.
Replays are certainly better, but again, still not perfect.
In all it's an improvement, but I hope they don't think that this is acceptable enough to leave, it still needs work.
 
PS3 or 360? I just had an online match on 360 and it's much the same. Ball warps around from time to time. Didn't notice any difference in the replays to be honest.
 
Absolutely no change at all in terms of online lag. I couldnt care less that the replays dont run at 2 FPS anymore. Is there any patch notes as such so we can see what was tried to be fixed?

If thats all we getting then my 10 year PES love affair is finally over, FIFA 08 is the new king.
 
Unless they've completely revamped the whole game I won't even bother turning on the 360 for the patch. Lag is the least of Pro Evo's problems.
 
Just played 2 ranked games and the lag is the same for sure. No change.

Won them both though 5-1 and 5-4. In the latter game I scored a Hat-trick and got the Live achievement for it but also scored a beauty of a free-kick but nothing. Grrrr! What's worse, at the end it wasn't shown in the highlights because there were 9 goals. Bloody game showed the penalty I scored though. Double grrr!
 
Just played a few games and although it did seem improved, its far away from fixing it and as said above, if thats all we're getting i may have to look into FIFA properly for the first time in 10 years.

Is it? I ain't downloaded the patch yet, but a mate on MSN with the ps3 version says lag is the same and replays are fixed, which seems to be the same as the 360 "fixes".

I will install the patch tomorrow andtry playing him again to see if it is improved, (too much Uncharted to play today).

Would be great to see a fix list/change log for either version.

I'm positive that the lag is much better on mine than it was previously (PS3).
I played 4 or 5 online games tonight, the key word there is 'played' instead of 'looked on in confusion whilst players warped all over the pitch', which is all I could do before.
Definite improvement, still not perfect though.

If they havent fixed the lag thats seriously dissapointing. I've played so many hours with friends on 6 and havent bothered in the hope it would be fixed.

If it's not fixed I wont bother with their product again.
 
Much much better on the 360 no warping really and you can play, still not great as it did go a bit weird a few times in the 3 games I played but overall much better, but hopefully they will do some more tweaking
