Pro Evolution soccer 2011(Back to its best)

I'm quite surprised, but graphically Fifa 11 looks far superior on PC. I posted some screenies in the FIFA thread. Too early to tell on gameplay really. Seems like we'll be getting 2 good games though at long last

I disagree. I prefer the PES graphics. Fifa just seems a bit more cartoony.
The pitch in particular looks a lot better on PES.

Can't decide which I like better gameplay wise after the first couple of games with each. PES is definitely harder to pick up and play and will require more practice.

Pes 10 was a brilliant game. Played Fifa 10 which is good but i just prefer pro evo. 2011 looks even better, never got round to playing 10 online anyone know if it was good?

I had a problem with PES2010 with my 50" tv cant enable vsync because it will only run at 59Hz as its Windows 7 outputting through HDMI and after some research it seems Windows 7 doesnt like 60Hz.

So was wishing 2011 would allow me to enable this but no luck :( Still no vsync and choppy as hell as a result of this :(

Works for me, and I had the same problem under 2010's PES, have you checked the settings exe? It allows me to tick the Vsync after I've set the res correctly.

How do you change resolution?

The settings exe in the install folder.

FPS seems to be locked at 64 for some reason.

Neither Frame Skip or Vsyn are enabled ingame.

Vsync disabled in the CCC.

Radeon 5770. Any ideas?

Gameplay seems smooth but just feels as though it could be a little smoother.

Thanks.

If your wondering how the hell did i manage to play as england in the demo, go here

Was playing it about 5mins ago and had the weirdest problem occur.

I was playing a Copa Santander Libertadores match and every minute or so the game would freeze but the sound wouldn't then my monitors would flicker to black and when they come back on the game would go at super speed till it caught up with it's self then it would play as normally till it froze again.

Sounds like maybe a resolution issue? I know that if you alt-tab the game during a match, without pausing then go back in, it goes at hyperspeed until it catches up. Check the settings file, and see what res it's running at, I've got a samsung monitor that turns itself off if it doesn't like the res ;)

Have my res at 1280x1024 which is the max both my monitors can go to (i use one to display/check MSI afterburner hardware monitor and the other for the game) plus I didn't have this issue when i first and played the demo the other day.

It is almost like i'm alt-tabbing but i don't.

Remembered i had installed the 10.9 drivers a few days ago so going to do a clean of all ati drivers then a re-install to see if that fixes my problem as the game keeps freezing on me which is not good.

i've played both demos and am undecided. Fifa is easier to pick up and play, but i haven't had the time to see whether that's to its detriment or not... time will tell i guess

Master League seals Pro Evo for me, over Fifa. And this time there's an online master league I believe, and although I have no idea how it's going to work I'm looking forward to giving it a blast.
