My friend is a PES nut, but alas is a student and is about to buy a new rig, will he be ok playing PES6 on:

xp2500+
1gb RAM
128mb 9700

Cheers.

I currently play 5 on a p4 2.8, 512mb ram and a 128mb 9800 pro at work and that runs fine. At home it's an xp2500-m, 2gb ram and a 6800gt.

I'll defo be getting this, hope they've sorted out advantage for free kicks though.

Just pre-ordered it for 18 quid (+1 delivery).

Does anyone know if they have made any changes to the ref in PES6? becuase in PES5 he ruined the game IMO

I have read in a number of places that they have toned down the refs, they won't give away stupid free kicks anymore when someone breathes on you.

even though i absolutely suck at the game, i've never had any problems with the ref... :p

well one minor niggle, i rarely get advantage when i'm fouled. it always stops for a free kick when i don't want to. of course when i foul the cpu, it quite often plays on...... :D

so we are guessing that the pc version will be a port of the ps2 version, again? :(

there's a tiny bit of confusion about that, because of some quote saying the xbox 360 version stems from the pc version or something, but i'd be amazed if we got a next gen version on pc.

Downside to PES6:

Bundesliga appears to have been dropped (although Bayern appear in other teams fully licenced)

Club team numbers are less than last year.

Master League may have a 3rd Division but is unlikely to have had a real overhaul (which it desperately needs)

As always, I will purchase and enjoy :D

I'll be buying it on PS2, PC & Xbox360, yes I'm totally addicted to pes.

I shall be trying to work out which is the best version, i'm betting the ps2 will still be the best, as it's still a port to the other formats as far as I know.

Hopefully the 360 version will outdo it, I'll have to see if there's ps2 to 360 convertors for the pads, I haven't even checked yet. I can't see the 360 pad being much cop for pes to be honest, for me anyway, being a d-pad player.

I wonder if the lag will differ from 360/ps2. Pes5 was mostly awesome online until you got someone from spain...

As far as I can tell after playing the jap version pro6 will be much like pro5, but with a even more realistic feel to the players, and better animations and nice little touches here and there like quick freekicks, etc.

So, let us pray the 360 is the best, then I can finally put into my cupboard the old nasty wires everywhere Playstation never to be seen again.

The 360 version is certainly not a port of the PS2 version.
