Prob with Logitect Illu Keyboard

It was just a thought , as if you get nowhere with email , trying to talk to someone, especially on a UK helpline may be helpful , even if its just so they can give you a UK email address too send your information too.
I'd guess they have a better idea of where thier returns bases are :)

But like you say , this time of year getting someone may prove difficult , still just thought I'd pass it along.

Got a response, tho not sure what to make of it.

The dont seem to have a problem replacing it, tho I have the option to send it back...which is Phoenix Az, a tad far for a warrenty return

Or...

Send a copy of my recipt, tho I dont think I have teh mail confirmation anymore, jsut the processed order from Amazon....if I made ascreen shot of that would that be enough?

There will be a copy of the receipt in your Amazon account history.

Yea managed to nab a screen shot of it then send it thru, but they are also askign for the one that came in the packaging, tho im thining the fact I return it ( if I bother doing that) in its box etc which I always keep, and the Amazon print I thnk would be enough.

Aside from the key problem, what's this keyboard like? Nice key action? I'm thinking about getting one.

lol, thats the thng, I love using it, its got the same touch and feel of a lapop keyboard, soft touch, tho its feels better than that, more solid, tho the media buttons have to be useed whilst holding a Fn button down as well, but still easily usable.

Apart from teh broken key problem I would say its the best KB ive owned, tho stick with the wired, read bad things about the wireless option with the backlighting running so much.

It's fantastic ... One of the best keyboards I have ever used and I have owned keyboards 4 times the cost in the past and non match it.. Fantastic for gaming and normal use.

BTW original poster use the UK number if you are wanting to RMA the keyboard direct with Logitech, they will not even ask you to return it, they will just send you a new one. I never had a problem with mine but had problems with my speakers and they sent me a new control pod for it and even when a mouse button that my young son pulled off they sent me a new mouse without even having to send anything back. They have the best support/RMA of any company I have ever dealt with. Ohh yes create a new account with them if you dont have one, then you can upload pictures of the damage to them if they ask you for it, worth having an account with them if you have lots of Logitech stuff, easy way to deal with RMA's then. Call them and complain and give them your account name you used so they can track what is going on. Calling them I find works best ;) Took me a little while 1st time I had to RMA the speakers, but once their systems seem to kick in with the info on the account they deal with it.

Will do that but not much point now, in fact I might as well leave till the new year and hopefully the postage weather will pick up.

I use the same keyboard at home , prolly the best all round keyboard ever.

Keypitch is perfect for typing on , and also for long extended sessions of gaming.

Hmm you bought it in september and only now noticing the key is broken and you say you have done nothing to cause it? Did it just break itself?

Also you should easily be able to go into your Amazon account and click on order history for the past 6 months and get proof of purchase that way.

I noticed the key was a bit loose, but just a bit wobbly the way it was seated, its on teh numeric keypad so doesnt get used that often, it wasnt till i punched in some accounts i typed on it and it jumped up and sat like in teh first pic, theirs no markings on the keyboard, no drops, all the other keys are working fine.
