Problem with 5970....again

Hmm, should be fine, note your vantage scores as well. Low scores could indicate it is under performing and imply a power issue. But try what I suggested, you really need to rule out the graphics card, data cable and monitor completely.

vantage score 15658
cpu score 9735
gpu score 19642

Well it passed your tests, the temps ranged from 69-74. I just cant figure it out. I formatted my pc a few days ago and done a fresh install see if that would fix it.
Ive updated my graphics drivers from 10.4 to 10.6, still doesnt work.

Hmm, well that would imply the problem is elsewhere.

Have you tried the both data cables on the 19" monitor and both DVI outputs?

This is where im gonna sound noobish, ive been plugging them into the white socket which is the dvi im guessing. But you want me to try the blue socket is that correct?

It does imply a hardware problem, but the fact it is only happening on one screen regardless of data cable or DVI output is puzzling. You tried gaming on the 19" Simon?

Do you have a large monitor you could borrow from a friend? Would help implicate or rule out the large monitor you have.

I have tried gaming on the 19" and its fine. Ano no theirs no other big monitor i could borrow.

If i had to replace a part im guessing it would have to be the monitor then?

EDIT: How do you know my name speed?

Seconds away from lobbing the monitor out the front window, the screen started to play up on the downstairs pc. So problem has been figured out atlast, its the monitor borked.
Gonna start saving some pennies now, my bday in october so thats going on my list.

Speed i would like to thankyou, if you got steam add me, my username is bakes0310.
