Does Ebay still allow comment on negative feedback? Simple option is to explain,

"Item sold untested. Refund offered."

Anybody worth dealing with will check out the negative feedback and reason that you behaved properly. Cant see that you have a reason to get overly concerned by this.

Yes, all feedback received can be replied to with one follow-up comment from each party.

I am in two minds at the moment

1) Leave it and keep the cash, and leave the negative on my profile
2) refund him and get a mutal agreement

personally, i'd neg him saying "Didn't read item description, left me negative before contacting me. ebay nub. proceed with caution."

don't worry about it...a neg isnt the end of the world.

Completely agree, but i'd leave the "ebay nub" part out.

As has already been said, sensible ebayers will see the feedback and understand what has occured.

I haden't contact him, and I just received an email saying "Are you interested in do a mutal agreement" ?
