problem with my new pc

ok so i took out my 2.5 inch laptop hard drive and tried using it on my new pc.

windows loading screen came up but then just restarts after that and after it turns back on again it prompts me to start up windows repair...which i do go through but still no help.

if it helps the hdd was from my macbook which is partitioned.

Theres a PS2 port on that board, do you have a old type keyboard?

unfortunately no, im just going to pack it up and take it to a repair place to see whats wrong with it. now when theres no hdd connected it shoes the gigabyte logo at start up (where u have to hit buttons to enter biod) but when i do connect a hdd it just shows me a blakc screen on boot.

also do you recommend putting the case (with all the components installed in the case) in the original case box with the Styrofoam to transport it to the repair place?

Take it well packaged.

I think using a old PS2 keyboard or USB-PS2 adapter will allow you to get into the BIOS, then flash the BIOS using QFlash to update the BIOS may help.

so i got myself a ps2 keyboard and plugged it in...numlock light come on so i assume its working but with my hard drive disconnected and my cd drive connected it apparently freezes at the gigabyte logo

also, on my motherboard there are 3 connectors to which i can connect to a display. hmdi vga and another white one. i connected all 3 to a tv screen/monitor and neither of them gave me any display the only port that gives me display is my graphics card and through hdmi.

black screen when i turn on my pc

when i hit the turn on button on my case it gives signal to my monitor but just stays black.

first time ive built a pc and im really worried

All power connections connected ok including the 4 or 8 pin for cpu power and if your using a external card power connectors connected ok.

Also try a CMOS reset.

Please list your full spec :)
