Problems getting on steam?

Hello, just wondered if any other people are having trouble connecting to steam or if its just me, i can't even get on the website, ive tried on my laptop (to access website) and still no go.

its been like this since 6:30 now, so i want answers (and to play bioshock)

mine sbeen fine i connected about 8 ish connected 1st time. stil dont meen they having probs thogh there website is allways rubbish for me .

and how comes this questiom is in gfx card section lol

ive tried getting on on my other machine and get the same error and ive rebooted my router aswell and nothing, grrrr

Same here - in fact, just bought Painkiller for a few quid, and played it for the first time there...

what do you think the problem could be?

my old pc is running xp home sp2 and my main is vista ultimate 64, both give the same error, and i have no problems connecting to any other net service, apart from therir website too.

remember that Steam is not a central server, they're many servers called "content"....
I've seen a lot of crashes of some servers these weeks, like.. 20-15 players disconnecting at same time while playing CS Source.. (it almost reminds me of the IRC servers, when they netsplit, leaving sectors isolated from theothers.. )
