Problems with USB Memory Stick.... Help please!

On first insert all folders and files show up. If I try to copy the files across to my hard drive only some are copied across. The remainder are listed as unable to be found. When I return to "my computer" the pen drive shows no files or folders. The pen drive lights up as if in use. If I take the usb stick out and re-insert, the pen drive shows up and all files are present. I have been able to copy files across which were previously missing.

What's going on? And how can I fix this ?

Think I will have to clone the drive to another usb memory stick to get around this, unless anyone has any other ideas?

Fixed this by cloning the usb stick..
