Problems with windows 7 installation.

How would i get the firmware onto the mobo if i cant get the os installed :'(
Or will it do it through bios?
It has an installation disk for the mobo, should i try putting that in?

If so and the voltage is definatly the problem then it looks like i better get one it :(

Ah,so do i burn a disk and shove it in?
Also, should i try the disk it came with?

Do you know if there number is free because i only have a contract phone :-s
I will talk to them and ask if they have a suitible board in the same price range, or if i should just downgrade the ram.
I cant afford to move much more in the price im at, especialy with costs for shipping stuff back to them :(
 
If you look back a page I had failures on the memtest. Does this clarify it as the ram, or might it still be something else?
Is it possible to put the hdd in another computor, install the OS and then put it back across?
 
ok, so upping the voltage to 1.85 should give it just enough juice to run?

Otherwise, if i put the HDD in my pc and intall windows 7, then take it out and put it back in this pc will it run ok in theory if the ram is ok?
 
Sorry, wasn't at a pc at the time, was doing it on my phone and it dont like thte edit function too much :(

Im trying another install. If it fails i will take the hdd to my house and install windows there. Hopfuly that will work.

Ok, something could be going right, or i could jinx it now, but the install has got futher than ever befor and all i did was up the voltage.
If it installs all the way ok i will see if i can drop it to 800MHz if it isn't running at that already.
If windows installs i will still do a memtest.

ok, so the installation completed, though it will only display correctly on a tiny res, other wise it looks like this:

Also i just tryed installing the drivers and i got a blue screen with something about the memory, so i think we can be safe to say this mobo doesnt support the mem.
Im running memtest now, but i think im gona have to send the mem back and get a lower voltage.
Ah well, hopfuly they will be ok with the return and i will just get a 1.5v to be safe.
 
ok, ive sent OCUK a request for a DSR return, and i will order the Corsair XMS2 DHX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel in its place, and then fingers crossed.
